LCCC and Watsontown Borough Announce Innovative Workforce Development Partnership

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and Watsontown Borough have established a new partnership designed to strengthen workforce development, expand educational opportunities, and support the continued growth of the Watsontown community.*

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment by LCCC and Watsontown Borough to invest in education, workforce training, and community advancement by connecting employees with opportunities to gain new skills, pursue career advancement, and meet the evolving needs of the regional workforce.

Working Together to Strengthen the Community

Through this innovative partnership, Watsontown Borough employees will have the opportunity to pursue a post-secondary credential, certificate, or college degree at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ at a significantly reduced tuition cost.

The partnership creates an affordable pathway for employees to continue their education and develop skills that support career advancement while helping Watsontown Borough strengthen its workforce and better serve the community.

Under the agreement, the cost of tuition will be shared among Watsontown Borough, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, and participating employees:

· Watsontown Borough will contribute 25% of the tuition cost for eligible employees pursuing approved LCCC programs.

· ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ will provide a 25% tuition discount as part of its commitment to supporting workforce development and community partnerships.

· The employee will be responsible for the remaining 50% of tuition costs.

This shared investment model makes higher education more accessible and affordable while providing employees with opportunities to earn valuable credentials and degrees that benefit both their careers and the Watsontown community.
