LCCC Mission Minute: Celebrating Student Success, Community Partnerships, and New Opportunities

In this month's LCCC Mission Minute, we highlight several exciting accomplishments and initiatives happening across the College.
LCCC was recently recognized at the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce's Stars of the Valley Awards, receiving the Community Advancement Award. The award honors the College's critical role in driving economic growth throughout the Wyoming Valley by developing workforce-ready talent, expanding educational opportunities, and supporting the needs of local employers.
Public safety education also took center stage as the new 天美传媒 Police Academy was featured on the Sam Lesante Show. The academy, located at LCCC's Public Safety Training Institute, will welcome its first class of cadets this fall. The program represents another important step in LCCC's commitment to providing high-quality training opportunities that meet the workforce needs of our communities.
Student achievement continues to be a source of pride at LCCC. For the second time in two years, an LCCC student has earned a top national scholarship, recognizing the dedication, academic success, and leadership of our students.
The College also celebrated a summer tradition with the Adult Literacy and Training Academy (ALTA) Graduation Celebration. The ceremony honored students who reached important educational milestones and demonstrated the power of perseverance, determination, and lifelong learning.
LCCC was also proud to welcome the SHINE After-School Program to the College family. The program, now located at LCCC's Building #12, provides engaging educational experiences designed to inspire the next generation of learners through creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning.
From recognizing community partnerships to celebrating student accomplishments and expanding access to new programs, 天美传媒 remains committed to its mission of transforming lives, strengthening the workforce, and building a brighter future for our region.
