This micro-credential will provide participants with an advanced understanding of the principles and practices of digital design. Gain additional insight into key design principles such as balance, contrast, hierarchy, and color theory. Participants will also learn how to effectively convey ideas and messages through engaging graphics, layouts, and multimedia. Participants can expect to gain advanced proficiency in digital design and layout, color theory, typography, and idea development. Participants will apply their skills through hands-on projects that simulate real-world design challenges, from social media graphics to web layouts. Upon successful completion of this micro-credential students will be familiar with popular design tools and software that can enhance the creative process. Students will also gain the skills necessary to create professional looking designs for print and web, such as magazines, books/booklets, and other materials that will be viewed in print or within digital online forms.
